Lakes & Craters Holiday Park
Lakes & Craters Holiday Park is a quiet and friendly park that is set on a ridge between two magnificent volcanic lakes on the outskirts of Camperdown.
Accommodation consists of 7 fully-self contained two bedroom cabins, set within natural bushland. The standard cabins sleep up to 5 people with a double bed in the master bedroom and a double bed within a single bunk over the top in the second bedroom. The large cabins can sleep 6 people with a queen bed in the master bedroom and 4 single bunks in the second bedroom. All cabins have a lounge area, dining table, cooking facilities and reverse-cycle air-conditioning.
There are 61 grassed and shady powered sites and 25 unpowered tent sites that are set within beautiful surroundings. Camp fire braziers can be hired and bags of red gum wood can be purchased.
The amenities block is clean and well-maintained with hot showers, toilets, a change area and a dedicated assisted bathroom.
The well-appointed camp kitchen has stainless steel electric BBQ hotplates, an electric oven and stove, microwave, toaster, kettle and full size fridge. From the dining tables guests can watch the large wall-mounted TV.
Children will love the playground which has interactive play equipment including swings, slides, climbing sets and a sandpit.
Hire a pedal kart and cruise around the park - it's great fun for all ages.
Located adjacent to the park is the historic Camperdown Botanic Gardens which are perched on a hill overlooking Lake Bullen Merri and Lake Gnotuk. There is a beautiful rose garden and arboretum with several rare trees.
