Phillip Island & San Remo dog friendly beaches
Dogs on beaches at Phillip Island:
- Dogs are permitted off-lead on the beach at Ventnor between Ventnor Beach Road and Graydens Road at all times
- Dogs are permitted off-lead on the beach at Cowes between McKenzie Road and Cowes Yacht Club at all times between 1st May and 30th November and from 7am to 10am and 5pm to 8pm from 1st December to 30th April
- Dogs are permitted off-lead on Cleeland Bight beach at Cape Woolamai between Palm Beach Avenue and Southport Avenue at all times between 1st May and 30th November and from 7am to 10am and 5pm to 8pm from 1st December to 30th April
- On the beaches marked in blue on the map below, dogs are permitted on-lead at all times between 1st May and 30th November, and from 7am to 10am and 5pm to 8pm from 1st December to 30th April
- Dogs are prohibited at all times from the Cowes main beach between Mussel Rocks, Cowes Jetty and Erehwon Point
- Dogs are prohibited at all times from a number of beaches under the management of Phillip Island Nature Parks for environmental protection - see the map below

Dogs on beaches at San Remo:
- Dogs permitted off-lead at Foots Beach (at the end of Back Beach Road) at all times except between 10am and 6pm from 1st December to 28th February and between 10am and 6pm during the Easter school holidays, when dogs are prohibited
- Dogs are prohibited at all times from the beach along Marine Parade between San Remo Jetty and the bridge to Phillip Island
- Dogs are permitted on-lead at all other beaches except between 10am and 6pm from 1st December to 28th February and between 10am and 6pm during the Easter school holidays, when dogs are prohibited
