The Mariner

The Mariner is a beautifully presented maritime themed home where you can immerse yourself in a world of ships and history when staying at this unique property.

This home's dark moody hallway is reminiscent of the lower deck steerage on a boat with cabin numbers on the doors and interiors that take you back to the 1940s. Climb the steps to the lounge room which resembles a captain's quarters. There you will find a cosy wood fire, built-in bookcase, day bed and portraits of those those infamous "sea dogs". This area opens onto a sunny deck where you can enjoy views out to the water.

The upper level of this home is evocative of an ocean liner deck - light and bright, complete with a life-jacket and water hose. There are comfortable couches in this air-conditioned space, a large Smart TV with Netflix, 6 seat dining table and a galley style kitchen fully equipped with an electric cooktop and oven, Nespresso pod coffee machine and dishwasher. Large windows overlook a paved outdoor courtyard with deckchairs and a BBQ.

There are 3 bedrooms and the home can sleep up to 6 people.

The Mariner is located just over 250 metres from the jetties and boardwalk along the edge of Chinamans Creek where it enters Bancroft Bay. Take a stroll to the Metung Hotel and dine while enjoying the panoramic views over the surrounding Gippsland Lakes.

Head to Lakes Entrance, just 15 minutes drive away, where you can buy fresh seafood straight off fishing boats and enjoy the golden sands of the Ninety Mile Beach.
