The Oar House

The Oar House is a charming cottage that is nestled on a bush block along a quiet street on the outskirts of Metung.

This 3 level weatherboard home has been recently been renovated and painted in striking colours that are reminiscent of the houses in the Hamptons. Decorations feature a nautical theme and each window has an individual leadlight window, adding character to this unique property.

The cosy living area has a wood fire and a wall mounted Smart TV with Netflix and Stan. The dining room has a large picture window that looks out over the bush, a 6 seat country pine table and authentic Welsh dresser. The fully equipped kitchen has a range of modern appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, slow cooker, blender and sandwich maker.

This home has 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people comfortably.

• Bedroom 1 - king bed, ceiling fan, fitted robes, TV
• Bedroom 2 - double bed, ceiling fan, TV, glorious views over the trees and down to the gully
• Bedroom 3 - two single beds, huge picture window overlooking the garden

The main bathroom is located on level 2 and has a bath with an overhead shower. On level 1 is a powder room.

All linen, towels and toiletries are provided.

Outside is a covered entertaining area at the entrance to the home, featuring a table, 6 directors chairs and a Webber BBQ. There is also a sunny deck with two outdoor lounge chairs on the first level.

The cottage is located on a one acre allotment and is surrounded by native bushland. A private walkway leads down to the lake and Cantrills Jetty. Fishing gear is provided at the cottage.

The Oar House is 4 kilometres from the main village of Metung - just a few minutes drive or a 45 minute walk.

Metung is one of the prettiest village in the Gippsland Lakes region, positioned on a spit of land in Lake King. Enjoy boating and fishing in sheltered inland waterways which is home to amazing birdlife, dolphins and fish.

• Dogs permitted inside but not on furniture or beds
• There is a large secure area at the side of the house with fencing that is 1.8 metres high in most places and 1.2 metres at the front
• The front fence has gaps which tiny dogs might be able to fit under
