Your dog is permitted inside the cottage, however guests will be responsible for its behaviour
Dog bowls are provided and a dog bed can be provided on request
The property has limited fencing
Your hosts reside in the homestead on the property and have a small friendly dog named Frankie - a Maltese Terrier / Border Collie X
Dog fee is $30 per stay

HeartStone Hill Studio is a unique hand-built stone cottage, located in a peaceful elevated bush setting only a few minutes drive from the centre of Castlemaine.

The studio cottage has a cathedral ceiling and is styled with quirky vintage finds from the local area. It features a super comfortable king size bed with beautiful bedding including pillow-top. There is an ensuite bathroom, a sitting area with a TV, and a kitchenette with a sink, bar fridge, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. Reverse-cycle air-conditioning provides year round comfort.

HeartStone Hill Studio is located on a one hectare property called HeartStone Hill. The studio cottage was built in 1999 by a local stonemason who also spent several subsequent years building the adjacent main homestead on the property where your hosts reside. His workmanship is extraordinary, showcased by the retaining walls along the driveway, behind the homestead and car parking area.

The property has beautiful gardens that create a tranquil setting for guests. Access is available to the outdoor swimming pool (heated between October and March) and sun loungers where you can relax poolside amongst the towering gum trees. Beside is the pool is an outdoor shower and 3 person infrared sauna. Enjoy spectacular views to the east and spot native wildlife on the property including kangaroos, echidnas, birds and bees.

HeartStone Hill Studio is located within a short drive of Castlemaine Botanical Gardens, The Mill and the shops, cafes and restaurants in the town centre.
