Cedarwood Cottage
Cedarwood Cottage is a beautiful self-contained cottage which is set in private, natural acreage close to Lorne.
The air-conditioned open plan living area has a comfortable lounge suite in front of a TV and cosy wood fire. The kitchen is well equipped with electric hotplates, oven, fridge and dishwasher.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 4 people.
- Bedroom 1 - queen bed
- Bedroom 2 - two single beds
Linen, towels and toiletries are all provided and a porta cot and high chair can be supplied on request.
There is a small partially covered deck located at the front of the cottage, while at the rear is a large fully covered deck with a table and BBQ. Both decks overlook the shady and secluded garden which surrounds the cottage. Sit back, breathe in the fresh mountain air and watch the stock graze in the adjoining paddocks.
This beautiful cottage is set in spacious and natural acreage. Ideally located to give privacy and seclusion, yet offering plenty of parking spaces and sealed road access.
Nature and food experiences abound in this area. World renowned bush walking, mountain bike riding, surfing and horse trail riding are all accessible within a 20 minute drive. You can check out the Otway food and wine trails, berry picking, visit the Great Otway National Park, tour the Great Ocean Road. Or, if you are after a break from the fast pace of life, this is the perfect retreat to slow down and appreciate the simple things. Sit back, breathe in the fresh mountain air and watch the stock graze in the adjoining paddocks. Enjoy a local wine and a good book sitting on the deck or by the cosy indoor fire.
Cedarwood Cottage truly offers the best of both worlds, with the bustling seaside town of Lorne only a short 20 minutes drive away, and the solitude, peace and quiet of the stunning Otway Ranges on your doorstep.
The property is being established as a regenerative farm in order to produce locally grown, nutrient dense food. Single day and overnight yoga retreats are also offered throughout the year, and can be booked at dates that suit you via arrangement with the hosts.
Dog information:
- Dogs welcome inside
- Please bring your own dog blankets to cover all inside and outside furniture if your dog will be on the furniture
- There is an approximately 50 square metre securely fenced yard adjoining the back deck of the cottage where you can leave your dog unsupervised
- The rest of the property is fenced, but not securely for dogs, however they can run and play on the grass and in the bush as long as they are supervised
- Feel free to wander around the 5 hectare property with your dog, but be aware that there are farm animals and have your dog on a lead if they are likely to chase them
- There is a dog friendly beach at Lorne, just 20 minutes drive away
- There is a lovely dog friendly 2 kilometre bush loop walk a few kilometres away - please ask for directions
- There is an optional $50 pet cleaning fee - if you choose not to pay it, please vacuum all floors before you check-out
