Amaruq Log Cabin

Amaruq Log Cabin is a stunning traditional log cabin, nestled at the base of Mount Buller, surrounded by bush and wildlife.

This two storey character filled retreat is perfect for a large family or group of friends to share during any season.

Huge timber logs dominate the interior and exterior of the cabin. It has been designed to be comfortable with modern amenities while still showcasing its rustic features.

The open plan living area includes relaxing leather couches, a wood heater (wood supplied), air-conditioning, large wall-mounted TV and wooden bench dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooktop, oven, microwave, coffee pod machine, fridge and dishwasher. Coffee bags and pods, a variety of teas, hot chocolate and long life milk are supplied.

This cabin has 3 heated bedrooms and can sleep up to 10 people.

Bedroom 3 (upstairs loft) - four king single beds
Open study (downstairs) - premium queen sofa bed, Smart TV, Blu-ray player, Wii console and games

There is 1 bathroom.

Main bathroom - walk-in shower, vanity unit, toilet, additional separate toilet

Quality linen, towels and basic toiletries are supplied. A high chair is available.

The laundry is equipped with a washing machine, clothes dryer and ironing facilities.

Surrounding this cabin is a expansive elevated deck, complete with a BBQ, dining setting and seating. It is a lovely place to relax, overlooking the magical bush and observing native wildlife.

Within the cabin's fully fenced backyard is a large trampoline and monkey bars for children.

Take a short walk to the Delatite River, explore the riding or hiking trails in the surrounding forests and enjoy stunning scenery in one of the most picturesque places in Victoria. A 20 minute drive will take you to Mansfield where there is a good selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and a number of attractions. Also within easy reach is Lake Eildon and the charming riverside town of Jamieson.

Amaruq Log Cabin is located in Sawmill Settlement - the closest off-mountain town to Mount Buller. The mountain entrance gate is 2 kilometres away. A drive from the cabin to the Mount Buller village car park takes approximately 30 minutes. Buller is a year round destination where you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding adventures in the winter, or bike riding and hiking during the summer.

Dogs are welcome inside, but not on furniture
Securely fenced backyard to a height of 1.8 metres and fenced deck
Please do not leave your dog alone in the cabin
