Eyrie House is a beautifully presented holiday property with amazing views, located high up in the Otway Ranges, yet only 5 minutes away from the Great Ocean Road and the beach.

This split-level home is the perfect retreat for a couple, family or group of friends. Overlooking the Southern Ocean with refreshing sea breezes, it offers spectacular views from every room.

The open plan living area is located on the lower level, with floor to ceiling windows bathing this space in natural light and providing great views. There is split system heating and cooling, an open fire, an efficient slow combustion stove, internet-enabled TV and a dining table that seats 8. The well equipped kitchen features beautiful blackwood timber benches and doors. It includes everything you need including a gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

From the dining area, a glass door leads out onto a huge deck with an outdoor setting. From here you can see the land below drop away steeply into a deep gully and then out to the coast and ocean. A second outdoor area is located at the back of the home. This north-facing patio catches lots of sun and has a 6 burner gas BBQ with a side burner, a picnic table and seating.

This home has 4 bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 people. Note that access to the master bedroom is via bedroom 2 - refer to the floor plan further below.

Linen, towels and basic toiletries are provided.

The fully equipped laundry has a washing machine and clothes dryer.

Step outside and wander around the lovely gardens which surround this home. Plenty of vehicle parking is available.

Eyrie House is located on a 10 hectare property that consists of a mixture of lush rolling grazing land and bush. The entire property is available for guests to explore and includes a very scenic 2 kilometre signposted walk through pastures and rainforest that offers breathtaking views from handcrafted benches and a gorgeous waterfall.

Local wildlife can be found on the property including koalas, parakeets and rosellas, kookaburras, wallabies and resident sheep.

Your privacy is assured at Eyrie House. While there is a smaller holiday house on the property - Cliftons @ The Eyrie - it is located 100 metres away, separated by fences, trees and paddocks.

Take a 5 minute drive down to the beach at Skenes Creek which is great for surfing, or a 10 minute drive into Apollo Bay where there are supermarkets, shops, restaurants and cafes.

Dog information:

  • Dogs welcome inside, but not on furniture or in carpeted areas
  • A large and completely secure dog run next to the house is available if you need to go out and leave your dogs behind
  • An acre of gardens surrounding the home are fenced off from the surrounding paddocks and bush
  • As the surrounding paddocks have sheep in them, dogs will need to be on a leash when walking through those areas
  • Lots of room for walks with your dogs on this large property
  • A $50 dog fee applies
