The Leaning Tree
The Leaning Tree is a cosy blue beach house which includes an idyllic beach box on the bay.
Dating back to the 1920s, this home has served as a cherished holiday retreat for several generations, located in a prime position opposite the foreshore reserve and the beach. It has been stylishly renovated, seamlessly blending modern comforts with the timeless charm of a retro beach cottage, and is now available for you to enjoy.
At the front of the home is a lovely light-filled lounge room with comfortable couches, a TV and windows which overlook the garden. Adjoining this room is the meals area which consists of a 6 seat dining table and fully equipped kitchen with gas cooktop, oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.
This home has 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 people.

At the rear of the home, glass doors open from the dining area onto a partially covered entertaining deck, complete with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. There is also an outdoor shower for washing off the sand after a day at the beach. The deck overlooks a neat backyard with a fire pit, areas of grass and a large gravel area offering ample parking space for cars or a boat. High fences and a remote control gate keep kids safe from the road at the front.
The unique and treasured feature of this coastal gem is the beach box (former boat shed) located directly across the road, nestled in the foreshore overlooking the sandy Port Phillip Bay beach. This beach box is exclusively yours to enjoy for your stay. Its big front doors open onto a deck with chairs and a table, offering a panoramic view of the beach and boats bobbing in the water, all framed by two elegant leaning trees. Inside the beach box is another table and a relaxing sofa.
Stroll along Point Nepean Road and discover several cafes, restaurants and takeaway shops nearby. Otherwise, a 3 minute drive will take you to either Rye or Rosebud for supermarkets, hotels and extensive retail and culinary offerings.
Take a short drive to the relaxing Peninsula Hot Springs or Alba Thermal Springs, play a round of golf at one of the local courses, sample wine at nearby vineyards or explore the amazing Boneo Discovery Park.
