Blue Moon Cottages - The Shearwater Deck

The Shearwater Deck is the lower floor of a charming double storey weatherboard cottage that is full of character and decorated in a French Provincial style. It is comfortable and large enough for a small family, but still cosy enough for couples to enjoy a romantic escape.

The bright and inviting lounge room has an enclosed wood fire and plush sofas. The adjacent formal dining room has a table that seats 6 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a gas cooktop, oven, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher.

This cottage has 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 4 people.

• Bedroom 1 - one queen bed
• Bedroom 2 - one standard size bunk bed

There is one bathroom.

• Main bathroom - corner spa bath, separate shower, vanity unit, toilet

A portacot, cot bedding and high chair are also available for infants.

As this is self-catering accommodation, the cottage is not serviced on a daily basis. However, all linen, towels, toiletries and basic kitchen provisions are supplied.

There is ducted heating and air-conditioning for year round comfort, making this cottage a perfect beach retreat in both summer and winter.

Outside is a large courtyard with plenty of seating where you can relax or cook dinner on the barbeque.

NOTE: The apartment upstairs is currently occupied by a very quiet lady. For privacy, no facilities are shared and both dwellings have separate accesses. The Shearwater Deck guests have exclusive use of the whole ground floor and garden.

The Shearwater Deck is set on a 1200 m² established garden block with two other cottages in the Blue Moon Cottages group - The Sandpiper and The Shell Croft. The cottage is completely private. As it is set in a quiet neighbourhood, there are strictly no parties or Schoolies.

You can walk to everything. Only 400 metres to Rye front beach and a 5 minute walk to the commercial centre of Rye itself. Take a picnic to the beach or browse the gift shops, eat in the cafes and award winning restaurants or even have a casual drink at the numerous bars.

Dog information:

• Dogs permitted inside, but not on furniture and not in bedrooms
• Secure, fully fenced outdoor area
• Kennel, bowls and towels for a wipe down after the beach are provided
